Once you own a SMART Stirrer, then there is NO on going service, or usage or ownership fees. The mobile app is free to download and use. Sometimes we ask is there a cost to export the data? No the data you collect off your SMART Stirrer is yours so please use as you see fit

The mobile app, links directly to any number of SMART Stirrers via BLE. The in-situ experimental that is measured by the SMART Stirrer is then streamed to the mobile device. You can then monitor the live in-situ experimental data on you mobile device. When you are ready, you can simply export the comma separated value, CSV file to wherever you see fit and wherever you control. We support, Email, Skype, Dropbox, Box, Slack etc

The SMART Stirrer connects via the Standard Low Energy Blue Tooth connectivity.

SMART Stirrer bars measure Illuminance. In the lighting world, many lighting terms often sound similar but have vastly different meanings. This can lead to confusion and a misunderstanding of lighting terminology overall. In fact, two of the most used terms, illuminance and luminance are examples of words most often incorrectly interchanged. The SMART Stirrer bars are designed to work with most wireless chargers. Please place then in the centre of the wireless charging device, when charging a little red LED lights up. Sometimes, you may need to turn the SMART Stirrer around as the distance between the SMART Stirrer and the wireless coil inside the wireless charger needs to be as close as possible so that the charge can "pass through" the plastic casings.

Trust us as real scientists, the SMART Stirrer battery was as big and efficient as we could get in the small space. Workable battery life, just like your SMART watch, is a trade off between battery capacity, functionality usage and connectivity. To allow you the max flexibility, you are empowered to configure the number of times the SMART Stirrer records and stores the data, and the amount of times its connected to you mobile device. Timings range from 10 secs, 1 min 5 mins or 10 mins, this is set at the start of each experiment.

Its OK to take a break! Each SMART Stirrer, has built in on board memory, and thus it automatically senses and is smart enough to know that once it looses Bluetooth connectivity to you phone, it should carry on recording the in-situ experimental data and store this data in its local memory. Then once you come back, the mobile app allows you to reconnect to that SMART Stirrer and once connected, the previously stored data is streamed from the device, onto you mobile phone. After all we all are used to doing this with our Bluetooth headphones, so why wouldn't you want to do the same with SMART Stirrers.
